<Poem>

<Translation>
My cottage is built, back to the cit: wall,
Thatched with cogongrass; standing by the river,
On familiar paths, with green fields within view;
The sun kept off by alders, their leaves singing in the wind;
Bamboos veiled in mist, their tips dripping with dew.
Let the jackdaw and its nestlings make this their temporary abode,
And chirping swallows nest here, to return every year.
Should this be mistaken for a great scholar's home,
I would not even bother to explain.
